Shad Ketcher, a registered representative of the New Era Financial Group in Hutchinson, completed a six-month training course for U.S. IRA experts in collaboration with Ed Slott and Co. LLC in a virtual workshop from April 29 to 30.
The workshop, attended by members of Ed Slott’s Master Elite IRA Advisory Group, provided in-depth technical training on advanced retirement account planning strategies, real estate planning techniques, as well as a critical study on changes to retirement and tax laws surrounding SECURE and CARE Acts.
The training covered the SECURE Act and the CARES Act, including the repayment of coronavirus-related distributions and the return of required minimum distributions after the 2020 waiver, how to advise beneficiary heirs who inherit retirement accounts under the SECURE Act, determining IRA and Roth IRA contribution planning and numerous other items.
